Crosman Airsoft
If you need to get some exercise, improve your mental skills and have some fun at the same time perhaps you need to take a look at the Crosman Airsoft line. This line includes rifles and pistols that are a new breed of guns. Instead of metal BB's or pellets, an Airsoft gun uses a 6mm plastic "BB" but the gun can look almost identical to the real thing. The velocity of the rifles can range from 100 fps (feet per second) to 375 fps while the velocity of the pistols can range from 250 fps to 500 fps. Depending upon your point of view, the fps isn't bad considering that the BB you are shooting is plastic and your target could be 30 to 40 feet away. Crosman Airsoft is intended for those 16 years and older and the buyer must be aware of and obey all laws that refer and reference these guns.
Rifles
The selection is outstanding and you can choose from electronic, full or semi-electronic versions. The basic lineup includes the: Stinger, Pulse, Remington, Ready to Play and Triple Threat. Each style (except the Triple Threat) has a slightly different version to it which changes the price as well as the power available.
One very unique feature that some of the rifles have is that part of the gun is clear. Crosman is calling it "clear" and has incorporated it strategically into each gun. An example is the Pulse R76 (model APR756C) or Remington Wingmaster.
Pistols
This lineup is almost as impressive as that found in the Crosman Airsoft rifle lineup. Single, spring repeater shot or semi-automatic is available. The basic lineup includes the: Air Mag, Stinger, Elite Combat and Mayhem. There are several styles available in the Air Mag and Stinger but not for the Elite Combat and the Mayhem.
A similarity with the rifles is the "clear" feature has been incorporated into several of the styles. These include the Stinger P50 (model ASP50C) or the Stinger P30T. This has become a feature that is sought after due to its unique look.
It is strongly advised to wear protective clothing and gear. At least safety glasses or Airsoft Goggles to protect the eyes and thick clothing such as jeans and a very heavy long sleeved shirt. Crosman has available an Airsoft Mask that protects the entire face too. Ear plugs is a good idea as well so that there isn't an opportunity for a freak incident of a BB being shot into someone's ear to occur.
Similar to the game of paintball but not as messy is the game of Airsoft. It's fun, the guns are unique and it's relatively a cheap sport that gets your mind moving and your heart pumping. So what is left other than to choose if you want a Crosman Airsoft rifle or a pistol?
